MAKE YOUR OWN SNICKERS CHOCOLATE BAR IN AN ICECUBE TRAY!

Better Than Snickers & So Salt Bae I'm Nutella About You.

I am all about the simple as we know, so when I stumbled across a Thrillist post about the number of things you could do with an ice cube tray it BLEW my MIND!

So today I have decided to give making chocolates in the freezer a go - sounds easy right?! Currently as I am writing this I am waiting for my chocolate bars to freeze and lets pray they turn out wondrous.

Here's the two types of Chocolate bar I hope to achieve | Salted Caramel and Nutella which I like to call - So Salt Bae I'm Nutella About You & Peanut Butter and Peanuts/Pecan Nut Mix which I will simply call Better Than Snickers... ohhhhhhhhhh.

Anyhooo here are my recipes!

YOU WILL NEED:-

2 Ice Cube Trays.

4 Bags of Toll House, your choice Semi/Sweet or Milk Chocolate Chocolate Chips (I mixed both.)

Coconut Oil or Veggie Oil.

Pot of Nutella.

Pot of Salted Caramel.

Pot of Peanut Butter.

1/2 Cup of Peanuts and Pecans Pre Packaged.

All the s**t you need...

First things first make sure your Ice Cube trays are clean and free of ice! Really though...

Melt your first bag of chocolate chips in the microwave, add 2 tablespoons of oil in a microwave proof bowl and heat on high for 45 seconds. Stir vigorously and if needed do it again for another 30 seconds and stir. Make sure the mixture is runny enough or its hard to work with.

Pour this mixture into the ice cube tray about 1/3 up each slot and tip the mixture around the tray to coat the bottoms. Put in the freezer for 2 mins.

Repeat this with the other tray.

Pull your first tray out of the freezer and pop in your fillings so a teaspoon-ish or however much you feel like of each ingredient e.g 1 tsp of Nutella and 1 tsp of Salted Caramel or 1tsp of Peanut butter and 1 tsp of Nuts.

Melt your next bag of Chocolate chips the same way as the first, as soon as its the right consistency pour its all over the the top of your fillings and original chocolate mixture. Smooth it out over the top to make it look like a chocolate bar. Put it in the freezer for 1 hour.

Repeat these steps with the other tray.

I Dare You Not To Eat It Like This...

After your hour is up pull your trays out of the freezer and grab a chopping board (or something you don't mind making a mess of.) Grab a Hammer... that's right a hammer and give your choccies a little nudge on the tops to come out... Now I never said it was gonna be easy, my chocolate was a stubborn little mother but after some harsh words and a few more slightly harder taps out my choccies popped 1 at a time some 2 at a time. (Anyone that gets the whole bar out all together you are a hero... Just saying.)

And Et Voila after some arranging and eating here is the final product. Messy, Easy and Worth it!
